Employee Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Hours: Full-time, Mon - Fri, between 8 am - 4:30 pm PST

Reports to: Inventory Controller

Compensation: $52,000 - $75,000/year

Job Description: We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to complement our team. In this role, you'll be tasked with meticulously managing inventory counts, collaborating with diverse departments to fulfill organizational requirements, and maximizing warehouse space and material resources efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing inventory in alignment with company guidelines, ensuring adherence to established protocols
  • Collaborate in the implementation of inventory control systems under the guidance of the Inventory Controller
  • Assist in maintaining meticulous records of inventory, including transfers, cycle counts, and reconciliations
  • Perform regular audits to ensure counts align with our records
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations to identify and find solutions for inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze root causes of inconsistencies and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to gain thorough insights into inventory requirements and demands
  • Ensure adequate stock levels through efficient ordering and replenishment processes
  • Update communication channels to address inventory-related concerns or requests
  • Manage physical warehouse and office spaces, ensuring safety, managing shipments, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing security
  • Implement strategies to maximize onsite and offsite storage capacity
  • Collaborate with teams to handle returns, replacement products, and accurately update inventory records
  • Conduct thorough inspections of returned merchandise
  • Accurately record received items in the inventory management system
  • Generate reports detailing audit findings and recommend corrective actions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • Proven understanding of inventory management principles, including valuation methods, replenishment strategies, and warehouse operations
  • Proficient in inventory management software, Monday.com, and Google Suite

Competencies:

  • Analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and pinpoint inventory issues, facilitating informed decision-making and process enhancements
  • Organizational skills to include task prioritization, efficient time management, and maintenance of orderly inventory systems
  • Adaptability with flexible response to shifting inventory demands, industry trends, and organizational requirements, including openness to new processes and technologies

Benefits:

After 90 days of full-time employment:

  • 9 paid holidays
  • Health insurance coverage with employer contribution
  • 5 days or 40 hours of paid sick time

After 1 year of full-time employment:

  • 5 paid vacation days, with up to 15 days accrual based on length of service
